This Popular Vlogger Came Up With a Brilliant Way to Help NYC's Homeless

A popular YouTube vlogger named Rob Bliss turned the convenience of online delivery in New York City into a tool to help out people experiencing homelessness during the holidays, and the video he made to share his efforts is sure to bring a bit of happiness into your day.

"We've had a 40 percent increase in homelessness," Rob says in the introduction to his video. He goes on to explain how it can be challenging to help folks he encounters on the street, even if he really wants to: "Let's say they need a sleeping bag... even if you find it, buy it, and deliver it, aren't you now going to be late?"

So Rob decided to experiment with super-fast online delivery services, which can get products to a specified address in New York City within an hour or two.

"What if we could repurpose the same apps we use to bring us ice cream and iPhone chargers to finally bring that guy a pair of socks?" Rob asks in his video.

Turns out, Rob's plan worked. Watch the video above to see him arrange deliveries of small yet essential items to several people he meets on the sidewalks of New York.

Everyone benefits from small acts of kindness, and we're grateful to Rob Bliss for showing us a creative new model for helping others!
