Triple Amputee Marine Hero Gets His Dream Wedding!

Marine Corporal Juan Dominguez lost both legs and his right arm in an explosion in 2010 while serving in Afghanistan. On April 27, 2013, the community of Temecula, California came together to give Juan and his bride Alexis their dream wedding. Everything for the event from the reception venue and rehearsal dinner to the entertainment, photography, flowers, cake and makeup, was donated by various local businesses to the young couple-- over $30,000 in services!

"We've been waiting for this so long and it's finally real," said Alexis. "Every girl wants a dream wedding and this is my dream wedding because I'm marrying the man of my dreams."

"I'm a little bit shorter but my brain's still here and my heart's still here. I'm still the same," said Juan. "What could be better than keeping my legs on and walking down the aisle with my wife?"

America Recycles Day: See Little Homes For The Homeless

One person's trash is another's "Home Sweet Home." Oakland artist Gregory Kloehn makes pint sized homes on wheels from discarded materials he finds on the street. Inspired by the small home environmental movement, Kloehn started making his homeless architecture of fully functioning houses out of shipping containers, dumpsters and discarded street trash. Greg gives his handmade homes away to the needy and thus far has built 10 unique living environments. They may be small, but they have a big impact on the lives of the people he helps. He's a one man affordable housing project.
