He received a bachelor of fine arts degree in sculpture, with a triple minor in photography, drawing and art history, from Missouri State University in 1989. After graduation, Mark became a self employed artist and photographer. For the past 23 years, he has been hired as a freelance photographer for many highly recognizable brands and companies at the local, regional and national level.

Borella created the Seeds of Happiness concept in 2006, in response to friend’s son being diagnosed with cancer. Since 2009, he has dedicated the majority of his time and energy into sculpting and building the Seeds of Happiness brand and business.

Borella and Seeds of Happiness were recently featured in the summer 2012 issue of Celebrate. He is a frequent guest speaker on numerous radio shows. In addition, he has been featured in several newspaper articles profiling his work and his passion for making the world a better place, one smile at a time.

Quote from Mark:

“I am one of the very few people in the universe whose job not only brings me tremendous amounts of happiness and satisfaction, but my work literally allows me to bring happiness to others, throughout the world, on a daily basis. Watching the company grow from that initial batch of seeds, as well as seeing the impact we’ve been able to make in the lives of others, has been more rewarding than I could have ever imagined.” Mark Borella, founder, Seeds of Happiness
