This tiny chihuahua was born on the Fourth of July with the kind of abnormality that could have crippled a lesser dog. But BeeBee wasn't going to let her difference stop her. She was born with no shoulder blades; BeeBee can't put any weight on her front legs or straighten them. Yet, she refuses to let her handicap stop her from living life to the fullest.

BeeBee has always been a beloved visitor at Alpine Living Center in Thornton, Colorado, where she visits, plays and cuddles with the residents of the senior home. They all look forward to seeing her there. But one day, someone mentioned that engineering students at the local university might be able to help BeeBee go on the joyride she always wanted.

Now, thanks to the dedication of three students, BeeBee has a specialized wheelchair that allows her to roam the nursing home halls all by herself, cheering up everyone she meets!
